S-Frame™ Explained
Analysis Options
S-Frame is available in three versions detailed below. All of these versions have exactly the same interface as the 'S-Frame Lite' analysis software (FREE with TEDDS). Only the analysis engine options sitting behind the interface change with the different versions.
S-Frame Standard
- Static linear-elastic analysis
- Full FE analysis capability as standard feature
S-Frame Professional
- Buckling analysis (analytical calculation of lambda crit to comply with BS5950-1:2000)
- 'True' P-Delta second-order analysis (to comply with BS5950-1:2000)
- Dynamic analysis (stressed and unstressed Eigen values) including modal mass
- Time-history analysis (base and nodal excitation)
- Moving load analysis (includes multiple loads on multiple lanes or 3D paths, and influence line diagrams)
- Response spectrum analysis (includes option to scale to code base shear and borrow signs from a dominant mode. Dominant mode can also be extracted and scaled to create statically determined design combinations)
S-Frame Enterprise
Advanced full Newton Raphson non-linear, iterative solver that can be applied to all the above static and dynamic methods.
Ideal for the analysis of incremental loading and modelling of:
- True cable elements, including prestressing
- Cable nets
- Tension only members
- Compression-only members
- List-off supports
- Capped capacity members
- Non-linear axial springs and torsional springs
- Tension only supports
- Compression only supports
- Non-linear ground springs supporting hook and gap characteristics
- Staged construction
