CSC Fastrak CD Release 19 - Software Update (July 2010)

This software update fixes the following issues and also includes several feature enhancements.

EC3 Design

The ability to design General Beams and truss top / bottom booms is now supported. This means that the design of continuous beams, cantilevers, moment frames and complete trusses is now possible.

Fastrak

New decking data has been added for SMD, TR60+ and TR80+ decks have been added to the decking database.

Building Designer

An issue which caused the software to crash when exporting a Portal Frame from Building Designer, due to issues with the loading, has been resolved.

An issue when a point load was applied to a Portal Column in the local (axial) direction, when the load was exported to Portal Frame, this load was incorrectly inverted. For example, a negative point load applied downwards to wards end 1 of the column was inverted and was applied upwards towards end 2.

An issue where the columns were not drawn on the 2D floor plan due to a tolerance issue has been resolved.

An issue which could cause the software to crash when a truss was moved has been resolved.

An issue calculating the stud strength when the user switches between BS5950 and B5950-3.1:1990 and B5950-3.1:1990 + A1:2010 has been resolved.

The user can optionally select to omit the letters 'I' and 'O' from being used as grid line references within the grid wizard.

An issue which caused the General Beam or Column software to crash after the element had been exported from Building Designer when an additional load case was added has been resolved.

Portal Frame

Any user defined wind pressure coefficients are no longer reset if the any of the Portal Frame section sizes are changed.

Additional enhancements to the Portal Frame auto stability checks have been made with respect to columns.

The facility to define the height of the Portal Frame by the U\S haunch is currently limited to the left hand side of spans only for all span types except for mono- pitch spans.
